It amazes me the the Social Justice Warriors, the media, and the Witch's Hammer of the whole thing led by Special Prosecutor Mueller - despite serious efforts to destroy Donald Trump - and having become the Gestapo in modern day America - still don't have anything that significant.

Despite attempts by Russia - not for Donald Trump - just for Russia to hack the elections FAILED. Russia is Russia. You can't hang Trump for what Russia tried to do. Because of the security of our systems there was no significant effect on the election and if anything - Hillary rigged it in New Hampshire and there should be recount there where without the fake votes she would have lost.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/22/russian-hackers-election-states-targeted-dhs-243038

In total, a DHS official said only a few networks were successfully breached, and none of those networks involved vote tallying. It was previously known that Arizona and Illinois had their voter registration systems digitally infiltrated during the election. POLITICO did not hear from any new states on Friday that said their election systems had been compromised.

“DHS notified the Secretary of State or other chief election officer in each state of any potential targeting we were aware of in their state leading up to the 2016 election,” DHS spokesman Scott McConnell told POLITICO.

Alabama, Delaware, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Washington and Wisconsin were the other states that told POLITICO they had been the subjects of potential targeting. Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Virginia told the Associated Press that they had been targeted.

“DHS reported to us an incident. However, it lasted less than a second and no security breach occurred," Sam Rossi, press secretary for the Ohio Secretary of State, told POLITICO. "Nothing.”

comment: The bottom line is even if Russia did try - that does not link Trump to Russia.

As a new president it was his job to contact and interface with other governments - not a breach of national security as Comey did in feeding top secret data to the press on purpose.

Is he guilty?  I don't know.  Neither do any other members of us public or most politicians or civil servants.

He is rich and powerful enough to cover up almost anything.  But, the ability to cover things up, does not mean there was anything to cover up in the first place.

He is an accomplished liar, but that does not mean there is anything to lie about.

He has business dealings in Russia, but so do most rich people and these days there is a global economy.

The Russian leadership seems to want to deal with him and there is evidence that they meddled in America's affairs, but that does not mean he was involved in such plotting.

There does seem to be genuine, but not much, evidence that members of his family were meddling.  This no more proves his guilt than it did Hilary's in the email scandal.

So far, there is nothing concrete uncovered.  To the Pro-Trumpers I say:  "Give him his day in court.  If he is innocent, it will shut the doubters up."  To the Anti-Trumpers I say:  "Be patient.  It takes time to uncover that which money and power has hidden.  If he is guilty, it will come to light."

For what it is worth.  I think him guilty and Hilary both stupid and complicit.  He, however needs to be held to a higher standard, as he is President and she is not.

That is still just my opinion; most that we hear is just opinion too.  That covers the politicians , pro or anti, as well.

One thing in all this is concrete.  A second is a huge amount of time when it comes to cyberspace; even a technophobe like me knows that.

How do you tell if a politician is lying?
His lips or pen are moving.

Well, folks!

There is something that Americans, who are by nature blunt and upfront in their dealings with other people (a good point), do not seem to realize, which is that those nice men in the SVR, CIA, MI6, Mossad, DB and G8 are not.  They are there to be the epitome of sneaky, clever, spying and intel-gathering for their nations.

Which they all do equally well, in spite of each nation's propaganda saying: "Our spies are the best."  Part of their job is to find ways to steer every other country into being nice and friends with their own nation.  But, if that fails, then to have gathered enough dirt on their leaders, weaponry and anything else sneaky that they can think of, to bring that nation down.  Consequently, all the griping that we do about Trump, is playing right into their hands.  This gets America weakened, because home folk and allies alike are considering him an idiot and thus eroding America's social and moral standing within the hierarchy of world affairs.  The fact that Trump bites at every criticism instead of laughing at it (and praises the health system of imaginary countries) does not help!

I, personally, would love to see a strong friendly relationship between The USA, The Russian Federation and the British Commonwealth.  Then truly we would have a breakaway civilization and a new world order.

May God bless America, Russia and the British Commonwealth and their attempts at friendship, for that would truly be a civilizing force in our world.

Ok, you can all jump on me now.

MED

not even a good try

ALL of Trump's actions SCREAM guilty

doesn't mean that HE is

but his associates ???

and AGAIN I ask this question

if he and associates didn't do anything wrong

then why so many LIES?

why so many attempts to block any investigation ???
Trump himself admitted in so many words he fired Comey because of the "Russian thing"

we KNOW that the Russians and Assange desperately wanted Trump in the WH
and did everything they could to make this happen

WHY ???

we KNOW Trump said he had "nothing to do with the Russians"
yet at the same time he was negotiating with them to build a Trump Tower in where ???

oh yeah FREAKING MOSCOW !!!

throw open the books
clear your name
and then laugh at your opponents

I like Kool Aid too
but I don's spend my whole %^*&$  paycheck on it LOL

and I love this little remark
"As a new president it was his job to contact and interface with other governments "

true statement

BUT !!!

ya left out one little thingy deliberately didn't you ???

much of what Mueller is investigating
are contacts with the Russians by Trump and MULTIPLE associates
LONG BEFORE HE WAS installed in office by the Electoral College

why did a Presidential CANDIDATE have so many interactions with one of our main ADVERSARIES

BEFORE he was even in office ???

seems just a tad suspicious ya knowLOL

I'm surprised that you read Mueller not giving us day to day briefings as an indication that he's found nothing. Trump has spent his life doing anything and everything necessary to succeed, and using his business connections in Russia (which he has repeatedly lied about having) to secure the White House certainly wouldn't be beneath him, any more than denying housing to black applicants or stiffing contractors of money they should be taking home to their family. I don't understand why anyone would put this man on a pedestal when there is a mountain of evidence to suggest he is at best, a deeply flawed individual. Support his politics if it's in line with yours, by all means. But to think he's a role model any of us should look is bordering on the delusional.

Med, when you label what you don't agree with as "smoke and mirrors" and "fake news", and lament everyone's lack of focus on what you consider to be "Real News", you've lost that objectivity you claim is missing elsewhere in the media. Cherry picking what you believe makes you no different from those you heap criticism on. When you do that, you're at least as partisan as the "Social Justice Warriors" you frequently lampoon and characterize as little more than a bunch of drug using degenerates or Hollywood liberals (when many of them are just ordinary people taking to the streets to quite rightly protest important social issues like the rise of racism, fascism, xenophobia, anti-semitism, and white supremacy). And while we're on that subject, I think we're in a bad place when people standing up to a mob of chanting white supremacists on a multiracial campus receive the harshest criticism. The Civil Rights movement fought long and hard against the institutionalized acceptance of such bigotry, and we should never knowingly allow it to happen again, even when the President appears to condone it. Denigrate the protesters all you like, but count me as a white guy that would stand with them over a white supremacist every single time.

And I thought you didn't like posting about politics? Just saying.

There is no doubt that any billionaire with property all over the world is going to deal with foreign countries.  The real issues are - if you want to dig deep enough you are going to find something.  This is probably true of every president ever elected as they go all the way back to Jefferson and start tearing his statues down.

It is likely Obama did not even have a legitimate birth certificate and was not a U.S. citizen.  The one sent to verify he was - was only a copy of an alleged original.

No doubt, in every corporation of any magnitude, someone got the short end of the stick, cheated somehow, wrongfully abused, etc. Also, I am sure that most men among men have said something women wouldn't like to other men.

So, if you take whatever private bad thing you could find with thousands of people and hundreds of lawyers, you are going to find something.

I do not believe that Trump is responsible for every act throughout history of every person that has ever worked for him. It is likely with the current scandals, when he became aware of the problem, he fired them.

As yet, it remains a fantasy - this collusion with the Russian to get elected. It is smoke and mirrors - and they can dig up as much dirt as they want - but it really doesn't prove the Russian worked with Trump to get him elected.

None of the hacking - so what if Russian tried to fix the election - they try to mess with us all the time - get real. It didn't work - none of the hacking was effective.

The U.S. has used proxy fighters to fight in revolutions, sold cocaine to finance it, and has any number of nasty realities as it has tried to run the governments and puppet leaders of the world.  This was so obvious in Iran and other countries.

We have tortured people, or shipped them off to be tortured and committed war crimes which are absolutely abhorrent.

The Bushes wined and dined Osama Bin Laden and took money from the Arabs to finance their oil companies.  Hillary and Bill got huge money for speeches and sold pay for play to American enemies. It was treason.

What is needed is perspective.  You cannot blow every mole hill into a mountain.

This constant attack on Trump as he tries to run the country is hurting America as a whole.  The Far Left will use anything they can to try and get power back which they lost running a loser candidate who was the worst pick of all. They should have stuck to Sanders. They could have won maybe.

Now we are approaching a  year after Trump is elected and they have a new soap opera - the NFL.

It will never end. The media has become the National Enquirer and many of the congress people have gutter mouths and might as well be mud wrestling with their opponents.

If someone had hard core information - they would have been paid and spilled it.

Elected presidents need to need with foreign leaders. It is part of their job. Things discussed with are top secret should not be leaked to the press.

Wiretaps and surveillance of individuals without a reasonable cause got Nixon impeached.  We have the ex-head of the FBI lying to the Senate and pardoning Hillary before the investigation even started.

It is all smoke and mirrors.

Perhaps you think that is a fake. If so:

Trump Says He’ll Revoke Obama’s Birth Certificate After Dismantling His Legacy.

So Trump accepts it as real enough to want to do something about.

I had issues with lots that Bush junior did, but his worst acts are preferable to Trump's best.  I respect the office of American President.  That is the office of the most powerful man in the world.  Trump is dishonoring it and by reflection the American people.

There is no country on Earth where all the people are good, honest, wise and kind.  There is no "Great Bastion of Civilization" which outclasses all others - that includes mine.  Consequentially, I could always see flaws in the American way of doing things (Private Healthcare, Death Penalty, Moneyed Legal system to name a few).  But, it had wonderful good points too (Freedom, Right To Bear Arms, Manufacturing Might to name a few of those).  On the whole and on balance America was one of the very best.  and I believed in it as a positive force for good in the World.  I no longer think so.  For democracy to work, the people have to be given the facts.  Tinpot dictatorships, fascist regimes and repressive collectives lie convincingly to their people.  By trusting Trump The American people surrender free thought to his propaganda.  I know all Americans are not taken-in, but enough are to undermine decades of believing in "The American People and The American Way".

The Obama Birth certificate is evidence of the lies being swallowed.  It is far more accessible than, for example, Trump's tax returns.  I could not find those.

Trump is a racist. That is why the sportsmen refused a Whitehouse trip and knelt for the anthem.  The flag, country and national anthem was not insulted - Trump was.

No, Trump is not guilty of all his people do, neither is Hilary, by the way.  But he is guilty of failing to condemn wrongdoing; in fact, he sometimes condones it.

He is a misogynist, admittedly often with the collusion of some starstruck trollop, but a denigrater and abuser of women for all that.

He is a user of the financial system to enrich himself and in the process inpoverish smaller businessmen.

Worst of all, Trump is a liar.  The vast majority of "fake news" came from is own lips, or twitter account.  This is the most unforgivable of all.  It is death to functioning democracy.

'And, tragically,  all of America is being judged (not just by me, but by many governments and individuals alike) on his disgusting behavior.

Don't join him, Med.  You are a better man than that.

You're actually dredging up the birther nonsense, even when Trump has given up on it?

Trump Says Russians Didn’t Help Him Win. His Intelligence Agencies Say Yes They Did.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-russia-help_us_59c97409e4b01cc57ff4cece?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009

U.S. intelligence agencies, however, plainly stated in a Jan. 6 report that not only did Russian leader Vladimir Putin interfere in the election, but that he also had a desired outcome.

“Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump. We have high confidence in these judgments,” said the report released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and incorporating an analysis produced by the CIA, the FBI and the National Security Agency. “We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him.”

The report detailed that Russian intelligence agencies were involved in the theft of thousands of emails from the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign and their subsequent release by the WikiLeaks group in the final weeks of the presidential race. Trump almost daily cited the contents of the stolen emails at his campaign events and in interviews. “We love WikiLeaks!” he would frequently say. “Boy, do we love WikiLeaks!”

The intelligence community’s report also mentioned that Russia used social media “trolls” to recirculate and amplify negative news coverage of Clinton. Social media giant Facebook disclosed on Sept. 6 that Russia-linked accounts purchased political ads starting in 2015, while company founder Mark Zuckerburg announced last week that it would turn over those ads to congressional investigators after initially refusing to do so.
