A 2 trillion dollar stimulus package has just been passed. That's a lot of money. Any yet...

We are asked to believe that a significant amount of testing for SARS2 still cannot be done because reagents are in short supply.

Congress just allocated 2 trillion dollars and we can't figure out a way to make more plasticware or ramp up production of enzymes that were discovered decades ago.

2 trillion dollars. Not enough reagents for testing.

2 trillion dollars. Not enough reagents for testing.

2 trillion dollars. Not enough reagents for testing.

These two sentences bother me in conjunction because they really don't make any sense. All the excuses I have heard for a lack of testing are unconvincing. And PCR is a technique I know something about.

Now let's say we need more swabs. It's reported that we do.

These are made out of plastic from a mold. Making these molds and putting out more plastic swabs is easy. There are many factories in the US that could do this with very little ramp time.

Let's say we need more polymerase.
We can easily make this in whatever quantity that is necessary. People used to make their own Taq in their small labs. It's that easy. The other chemicals involved are easy to produce in whatever quantities that are required. We have numerous genomics labs capable of processing huge numbers of samples a day using automated processes.

We could completely end the pandemic and start up the economy within a month if we tested everyone in the country.

You see, if we tested everyone, we would just have to isolate the people who were infected for a few weeks. Everyone else could go back to work. Simple, yes? Am I really the only one who has thought of this?

What would it cost to test everyone in the US?

Reagents cost per test $10. Yes, $10. Claims otherwise are bold-faced lies.

So, testing everyone in the United States would cost under $4 billion dollars, even adding in personnel costs. Even if I'm off by an order of magnitude, the cost could be $40 billion dollars. Wow, that's a lot less than $2 trillion dollars, isn't it? Not to mention the huge losses to people's incomes. But perhaps we should mention the thousands of Americans who are going to die for absolutely no reason at all.

So, we are choosing to allow the virus to kill thousands of Americans (at least, maybe millions by the time this is done) What is the reason?

They say "Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to incompetence." Well, maybe. But sometimes there really is malice. How much evidence do you need before concluding this?

Here is something that bothers me:

New York Times, April 22, 2019

According to the report, the cost of Social Security, the federal retirement program, will exceed its income in 2020 for the first time since 1982. The program’s reserve fund is projected to be depleted in 16 years, at which time recipients will get smaller payments than they are scheduled to receive if Congress does not act.

Meanwhile, Medicare’s hospital insurance fund is expected to be depleted in 2026 — the same date that was projected a year ago. At that point, doctors, hospitals and nursing homes would not receive their full compensation from the program and patients could face more of the financial burden.

No political party has addressed the huge costs of providing medical care for a rapidly aging population. No realistic solution has been even suggested. This is not just a problem in the US. Europe and Asia also have this problem, even worse. We are within a few years of a political nightmare. Unless...

The pandemic preferentially kills older people and people with health issues. The people who need the most money from the government. The people who will complain if their benefits are cut. In 2 years, based on the current pandemic "plans", many of these people will be dead, either directly due to SARS2 infection or because hospitals have been overrun and can no longer provide care for the many other illnesses older people have.

Has some one run the numbers on what happens if the virus is allowed to do its thing? And liked what they see? Not exactly a conspiracy theory. More like evil opportunism.

Politicians could easily prove me wrong. Just test everyone. I know you can make that happen, if you want to. Not sure everyone will buy your excuses if this doesn't happen. I don't think I'm the only one wondering about your motives.

Prove me wrong.

As I've said many times... what are the underlying or 'other' motivations for the (over) reaction to this virus... blaming the economic crash on Covid vs banksters/government?  Kill off a large percentage of our senior population to save huge pension $$$'s that have been miss spent/miss managed by government? Cover up the coming planetary cool down and the food shortages this will entail (gets everyone used to 'rationing' etc)?  Population control period?  Is this all a giant social experiment - how far can the governments push us in name of fear?  Is this just another step toward One World Order? Is this a giant 'dry test' to see where responses are hit hardest so that when the slate wiper comes along - we respond better?

?????

So SO many theories - I like that others here think outside the box and don't necessarily just 'buy' all the tales the government is selling...  time with hopefully expose the truth.

If it's to be - it's up to me!
