The situation is so bad that people seem overwhelmed and this is not to say we don't have a problem. Took a few days off to be ill and most of those near and dear to me are ill as well.

Just because we aren't getting main reports on the news does not mean the 2009 H1N1 Flu is not hitting hard. It is.  It is typical in the middle of the worst outbreaks for the main press to be nearly useless in  providing comprehensive data.  With the storm, ice, and cold it has spread and is probably a greater percentage than the numbers being given out.

Deaths are simply not counted and we have very little serious tracking even being done. Is there a chance of another Pandemic?  Yes,there is.  Do many countries or even agencies really feel obligated to tell us here is one until it is truly one. No.

Many people are not posting, and have just holed up to suffer. That does not mean the worst is over. It is not.

My mother has become very I'll the past few days with what I'm most certain is H1N1. She had the seasonal vaccine back in October. Ive been really trying my best not to get near her and have been washing doorknobs, remotes, etc. I have not had the vaccine but did have H1 back in 2009.

One weapon against flu can be good communications. Prevention, good advice, can save lives. But nobody seems to feel responsible so things get worse. History repeats itselfs when nobody wants to learn from it ! (In Western Europe winter is on its way, it will bring the flu with it.)
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
