A valet serves meals, addresses clothing, assists in dressing, draws baths, takes care of luggage, opens doors, greets guests into private quarters, etc.  Not sure how there was no contact if the valet was doing his job.  Just sayin'...

Seriously, how would things be affected if Trump was infected?    I was hearing noise out of the UK about lifting lock-down before Boris Johnson got infected, then that went quiet for weeks as people seemed to realise that this SARS-CoV2 outbreak is more serious than they had thought.

Would it take someone like Trump to get infected before a large section of the population thinks how serious this pandemic is?

I can't quite believe what I'm seeing and hearing......

Never mind the fact no-one knows what this virus is capable of,

 IE, are you immune if you have been infected,if so how long does that immunity last, 

The ignorance of the people is amazing to me,

Nothing would happen. The agenda would continue.  

I have deliberately not commented on lifting restrictions except for the occasional "I'm glad I live in NY".  People need to get a paycheck.  I get it.  People will disregard their own safety, the safety of others and sacrifice everything in order to not lose their homes and feed their children. I get it.  My issue is that it doesn't seem to be filtering through to Americans the lengths other countries are going to in order to keep their population as safe as possible during this crisis.  Woe betide the politicians when Americans finally figure it out.  But that's a complicated conversation.  Not one that would be at all fruitful at this point.  The only other thing I will say is that at one point I believed America needed restoration and not revolution.  I've changed my mind.  But the revolution needed is not one that brings us back to the 1880's.
