"Britain's former chief scientist has warned a second outbreak, particularly in London, is now inevitable and the UK death toll could soar as high as 200,000."

Well there's no sign of any increase in case numbers yet.  London has seen very low numbers of new cases over the first two weeks of May, lower than any other region.

This is a graph I have produced from the case data up to 15th May:

The actual infection rate in London is likely to be a couple of percentage points higher than the graph shows because of a lack of testing at the start of the year.
