I doubt putting folks in jail would go over real big.... the point in showing that the language is there is to let people know this bill needs a LOT of work... I would like to see a decent bill get passed. I am very sceptical that the Congress can come up with something that won't hit the middle class right in the purse as usual.
And we see how they have handled the Pandemic debacle. 5-6 Billion of ...our.... tax dollars, only got at risk people
a mere 30 million vaccine doses...as they went out on a limb with experimental... that was overdone..... ok...some experimental...but the BULK of it was experimental.
They knew early on it was not a real killer and where was their 'out' to back off the amazing Variety of Vacs? That the Congress has no capacity to see ahead and think outside the box for changed scenarios...boggles the mind.

When you said Rush I thought you were talking about Rush Limbaugh. Only because that drug head was Arrested, busted and admitted guilt for his OxyContin and hydrocodone abuse and now needs cochlear implants to hear again. He also thinks Global Warming is a hoax he ties Obama's new healthcare logo to a Nazi Swastika. If you're talking about the Health bill getting rushed they will beat it to death and something will probably get passed but with a good deal of the profits left in for the drug makers. Hopefully they do setup something where anyone can get health care at a reasonable price and force the hospitals and drug companies into a realistic pricing structure. |

Total takeover ..of our Health Care By the Federal Government is like giving a blank check
to CONGRESS ( the 'Government') to the Bank Of Taxpayer Dollars.
Are people aware of the Medicare Fraud? It's quite amazing.
On the one hand we have... Total Takeover (straight to the Bank Of US Taxpayers)
On the other hand we have- Obstruction Plain and Simple ( as in No Takeover )

Of course it is going to pass. Why?
We, the little people, no longer have the ear of our chosen elect...it is all about the lobbyists...even if we all sign a zillion petitions, we have no bucks behind us and they could care less...this is what I have found out after months of calling and writing about HR 2749 which should have been a dead bill (once again thanks to the ilk of Dingell).
Now, in spite, of what our dedicated physicians and nurses want, once again, in our best interests, of course, we now have runaway.gov basically determining our quality of life as well as our lifespan, what food we eat and whether or not we can have any water!!!
Is this the same USA we grow up in? Hardly.
We are accountable for the choices we make...
I hope in the next life I don't have to explain our generation's lack of intestinal fortitude to someone like George Washington.

Even the President has people above and below him that control just about every one of his actions. I bet if you spent one week in his shoes you would feel like the least free person on earth. Sure you can hide for a week but try it for a lifetime. The guy always travels in a virtual jail. I think the higher you climb more you become judged. Can you imagine 150 million people hating you? Or how about Tiger Woods, that guy with all his perfection and skill might end up like Michael Jackson from the things he does outside of his profession. |

A lot of men/women are out of work in their mid 50's ... as a result of "downsizing"
(eliminating high paying positions in a company.)

(finally the middle class ... drowning in taxes, gets a break )
But they prevailed on the Medicare expansion, and the negotiators appeared ready to maintain a separate health care program for children until 2013, two years longer than the bill currently calls for, according to officials familiar with the details.

They are trying to hash out their differences to come up with a merged Bill...
Senate negotiators will next meet with their counterparts in the House--which
passed its own $894 billion bill in November--to work out the differences and
try to forge one bill that Congress can present to President Obama.

If you have to pass it to know what's in it... If you have to force people to buy it... If you need to fine people $1000.00 plus because they can't afford it... If privacy is not protected, no ban on the collection of doctors' prescription

If you can't even guard against crooks bilking Billions off Medicare... Mabye Congress should Brain Up... We all love space exploration ( Congress tosses Billions at it ) but let's
get our Congressional act together and toss a few Billion at a sensible, intelligently thought out Health Care Plan. Did Congress have a hearing to look at the best of the best implemented by
the states on Health Care? What is or is not working at that level? A simple yet rotton practice by Excellus Blue Cross was to give a yrly rate and then raise it after 4 months, which is illegal... but policy holders are unaware
and would not complain to the state.
We have to cut off practices like that.
It is a very big mistake to pretend that our people in Congress are a bunch of geniuses, far from it. They need our input. So turn off the tube, get out the pen and tell them what you need. No way is it so simple... A decent policy > drives acceptance of it.

because it feels so crappy applying for it...
What will happen when I apply?

Your local department of social services and Facilitated Enrollers are available to assist you
in completing your application for public health insurance. They can help you fill out an
application, choose a health plan and answer any questions you may have. You and your
family members can apply for several public health insurance programs (Medicaid, Family
Health Plus and Child Health Plus) using a single application.
The application will ask for information about
....................................................................................
the persons living in your household,
your household's income,
housing expenses,
illnesses/injuries,
other health insurance as well
as your New York State residency,
United States citizen or immigration status,
and social security numbers
of the persons applying for Family Health Plus.
You will need to provide proof of the identity,
date of birth,
residence,
current income,
dependent care costs,
health insurance,
citizenship
and immigration status
for the members of your family applying for insurance.
If you require assistance,
your local department of social services
or Facilitated Enroller
will help you identify
and gather this documentation.
All information is kept confidential
and will only be used to verify if you are eligible
for public health insurance.
If you meet with a Facilitated Enroller,
once your application is complete your Facilitated Enroller will let you know if you and/or
your family appear to be eligible for Family Health Plus
or another public health insurance program.
The facilitator will forward the completed application to your local department of social
services where it will be reviewed and final insurance eligibility determinations will be made.
The local department of social services will let you know which health insurance program you qualify for and verify which health plan you chose.

Most people will be hearded off to Medicaid.. read that post above
( Are you coming to the realization? )
and the rest will pay taxes on their Health benefits... to help pay for the uninsured folks
Health Care... AND you are looking at hefty out of pocket premiums...why?
Because Corps have Lobbied themselves right out of helping you with your health care
as their profits rise and the greed with it... the power to write their own ticket ( and
now they are called "persons" ) and their Heads are as big as Mars.... You must realize the Bilions Corps will save with this amazing new Govt. Health Care...
Anything "Govt." is paid for >>>> by the people...
