China is-most likely-in the best position to mediate between Ukraine and Russia. China its view however is very clear, NATO moving east is the reason why we are in this Ukraine war... So the key for ending this conflict is Ukraine neutrality...at least NOT joining NATO... Zelenski claims "Ukraine now standing alone" is ignoring the other options it has...instead of NATO/EU Ukraine could/should seek partnership with (in many ways) more neutral TIP; Turkey, Iran, Pakistan trying to balance a position between China, Russia, the EU and the Arab World. Africa... TIP has a much younger population, could have a fast growing economy-because it is NOT part of any bloc.. The major obstacle however is the US/UK wish to "push NATO further east"...ignoring all kind of promisses, safety concerns..blinded by their own idea of being superior... "The World Is Supporting The West "-while that west is ignoring the rest of the world...It may be a hard awakening coming out of the self illusion... The US-like in the Israel conflict is to much one of the fighters to be able to mediate...in that many conflicts... I also saw a suggestion that Angela Merkel should be the mediator. Not such a bad idea. |

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

I think that if Merkel still would have been the German "PM" (they do have another name for it...bundes kanzler) Germany would have had better-much more experienced leadership. It may have avoided this crisis ! EU leaders did do a terrible job...If they would have been very clear in opposing Ukraine joining NATO they could (and should !!!) have avoided this crisis... |
