I have been away for summer. And was wondering any idea in a brief discription of where we stand so for? I know that bf has appeared in 3 states Maryland, Michigan, Pennslyvania...low path...
But what is the time frame for when we expect the crap to hit the fan?
Has bf kept up its pace overseas and continued to move rapidly?

Ahhh.  Nobody knows each other around here any longer.   We recently started the forum over again and we had to remove a lot of the old members.  We have plenty of internet traffic so rebuilding is not a problem.   The other site, well, they are fairly isolated as they really don't get much internet traffic.   In a panflu, they will remain isolated.

I found out that a brand new, out of the box, generator doesn't always work. Anyone buying one needs to run it a few times to make sure it will operate correctly.

I say we make this site the 51st state. We can call it The Great State of Awareness. Our flag could be a prepper wearing a mask surrounded by a circle of golden birds. Our state song could be Freebird,Blackbird by the Beatles,or how about Disco Duck. And we could give new meaning to the motto of Death From Above.
Okay I see my paxil isnt working so good today so I wont even get into my idea for a Prepper and Vice Prepper. Lol

Big smile  thanks for the laugh, WalkingDude - Haven't done much this weekend - both myself and my daughter getting over a little virus - OOPS, did I say virus?  I mean, uh, cold, whatever!  Got some great plastic shelfs, though - I thought it was interesting that WalMart had several different kinds out in the middle of the ailse, but it's probably because we're a college town and all the kids are shopping there.  Shows you what a little AFF thinking can do to you.  New definition of BIRD-BRAIN.....Smile

Albert - Huh??? I've been playing with my new granddaughter and catching up on some work, I must have missed something?? What other site?? What members? Confused

I was so shocked yesterday about Steve Irwin. When my kids were growing up we used to watch him all the time. He's going to be missed. He seemed like such a sweet man, wish there were more like him. Cry

We didn't go anywhere over the long weekend, except the kids talked me into taking them shopping. They enjoyed it...me I hate shopping. LOL

Family and I went camping with Sisters family and I was so surprised they didn't kick us out with all the laughing and giggling we did.    Never tell someone to laugh quietly at 12:00 am after drinking vodka and red bull....Big smile

My sister and I polished off two large absolute bottles in 4 days...Would love to tell what we did but I'm a little fuzzy on the details....LOL....fun Fun Fun. When we ran out of vodka the ta kill ya came out....I haven't laugh like that since our last camping trip...Approve

Oh we all climbed Bush falls and that is no easy task....Thought I would die of a heart attack....1 1/2 mile straight up ( 2,552 stairs) and another 1 1/2 miles around down and back up to the top....The falls were great but I thought at one point I would have to sleep there over night......I was begging for the nearest elevator...Can you imagine they didn't have one that far into the woods...Clap  What were they thinking.LOL

We had a great time...

One the way home a guy back out of his driveway and hit the back of our camping....He never even stopped so there was a lot of damage...   I got out and said...53 feet of car and camper and you hit us...How do you not see a huge camper in your rear view or side view mirrors..    He was sorry....Unhappy  He was talking to his friends in the car.  Oh well...

The hot tub was great the pool great and the fish were bitting....Life just doesn't get better than that...Heart

P.S. I just found out this morning about Steve dieing...He'll be missed.  My prays go out to his family and friends.  I'll miss his shows...

It is sooo sad. He had a great marriage and family too. I have always loved his humor and enthusiasm. I felt a little like after I learned that princess Diana died. It was just way to soon. He was too young!

Our son-in-law ( grain farmer) is clearing land.  We had cut a bunch of wood in the spring.  Spent Sunday and Monday splitting it all - we estimate 10 truckloads worth.  A great " freebie" for back-up winter heat.
Purchased a new dehumidifier ( old one age 10 ) and ordered 3 new windows to get in the house before the snow flies.
Local Ace Hardware having a " bucket sale" this weekend.  They give you an Ace 5 gal bucket when you enter the store.  Anything that fits in the bucket is 20% off.  Plan to purchase things that are NEVER on sale; oil lamps, lamp oil, large batteries and industrial drain cleaner.  Need to purchase a battery CO2 detector ( have plug in style) but figure those will be put on sale soon , tis the season!
Plan on getting my pneumovax this week.
MANY THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR INSIGHT AND SHARING OF IDEAS!

I workedOuch But dont feel sorry ofr me cause im heading to Myrtle beach for ten days the 20thSmile Gonna rent me a horse and ride down the beachTongue Sit on the beachSmile and enjoy my lovely familySmile. My son in law [who is a wonderful Godly man] rented a beach house for the whole family to come down to for a vacationBig smile

To those of you with the new gennys, please do run them, your warrenty suggests that you do in case there is a problem. Plus its no fun trying to start a genny in the dark or during a storm when your unfamiluar with itConfused. Trust me We learned this in the school of hard knocks. We recently purchased another genny for a back up . My DH had me come out and play running the genny 101Wink Hes a great guy but hes dealing with a technicially challenged wife. So he wrote down in real simple terms what I needed to do to start and run the genny, and put it in a ziplock bag with itWink

Ill miss ol Crock Hunter he was one of a kind. You had to admire his zest for life. My God be with his wife and children

Hi Mach, we basically had to start the forum over again.  Several of SF's ilk were using multiple usernames.  We had to remove a lot of SF's "friends" as they would just create future problems around here.  We had to dig out a deep rooted problem...

Honestly... I think that I'm beginning to despise this place.  Our memberships are going backwards because we delete more members than what we're adding.  Good grief..

You guys really have no idea what we're dealing with, nor do I really want you to know as you shouldn't have to deal with certain things.  The problem that we're facing is not too serious, but, the majority of the members here are using a proxy server, which means that we do not have the ability to actually block them.  All of these single prepping mothers using proxy servers?  It's actually quite comical.  They use things such as religion, being single mothers, and whatever else, to befriend people for various reasons.   We also warned people that if they use a proxy server, we will delete their membership on sight.  Proxy servers are used somewhat as a weapon against forum owners.   It gives people with agendas the ability to use multiple usernames at will.  Proxy servers are also commonly used by pedophiles.  Either way, the type of people that use them are not good.  This is why we disabled the PMs and why we don’t allow inner- forum emails.  This current situation has brought all types of people out of the woodwork.

Albert - I just sent you an email- subject said read at lesiure or something like that. Anyway, on second thought I hope you'll read it soon. You should also have another email that I blind copied to you. I figured out what is really going on. Man, you really are a machine, with a heart of course. I can't believe all you've been dealing with. Anyway, I'm seeing a bigger picture here.  Just in case you need it: Hug

Thank you Walkin and Rodin.  These are just daily issues that we have to deal with along with everything else.  Day after day for several months gets a little tiresome.

Hi roxy, maybe we shouldn't give anyone any extra ideas at this point.  LOL

Thank you Christy.  These people will tire and drop off long before me.   It's tiresome only because I'm getting bored with it.   You might even say I'm perfect for overseeing a forum like this.  I can assure you, these people have never dealt with anyone near the likes of me before.  They need to rewrite their entire playbook.

Albert,

Your frustration is loud and clear and I'm not sure what happen with SF...I though his/her post were an asset but I have no doubt you had good reasons....No doubt at all...For what ever reason I think they should have be more grateful....

Please don't give up on us...When one door closes another will open...This I'm positive of...

This site is saving lives and you might not see it now but you will.....

Remember when only two scientist said if...Now they all say when.  Your doing a remarkable job and If I haven't said it enough...thank you from the bottom of my heart...Heart

The peace of mind that you get when your prepped or almost as prepared as you can get is a warm comforting feeling...Not that over anxious sick feeling that I did have when I first found this forum....I now can Can food, bake real hot bread, can butter and Im ready for anything that comes my way...

It's not the quantity of the people that have been asked to leave but the quality of the people still here and still to come...

Please hang in there...

Sincerely,

Debbie

I'm laughing so hard I'm Cry ing. LOL  You know if the younger women get news of this story there just may be a mass exodus of young couples going to WA. ...'Hey honey, let's move to WA, I think it would be better for my career if you are the one to give birth to our kids.'
