It was a great day here, between a dip in the pool, a nap and checking in and out of the boards and basically relaxing and doing nothing all day.

Albert you really do not have to apologize for crazy people that visit our site to try and cause trouble. You cannot control that they do this, you guys were however quite swift at handling the situations as they arose!

Thanks Penham.   What's funny is that I had to leave right after my last post.   We had to step it up a notch toward the end.   I hate bullies...
They terrorize other forums and they get a wake up call when they come across us.

I don't know you, Albert, but here's a pretty picture. Perhaps it will put a smile on your face.

Hope so. I posted this on the Noah's Arc link as well.
Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you whenever you go.

Hi Albert.
I spent most of the day in the pool with the kids. Visited with my sister and started getting things ready for our cookout tomorrow (now its raining lol)
I caught the first of the problems today but had to go. I think you do a great job in handling the bullies. Clap

Well, I just ordered a case of MRE's and I am in the process of ordering an Aquatank to increase my water storage capacity.  I think it is time to have a LARGE glass of Bushnell Black Label and go sit in the hot tub.  Life is good, or at least better than the alternative. Thanks for addressing the problem.

Hmmmm.  I missed the problem of which you speak.  Went to two of my girls baseball games today. :) The weather was not too hot.  Took a nap (yay!) and went to Target.  Only prepping I did was a few more gallons of water at Target.

Nice day today.  And I have a little girl sleeping with her head on my shoulder.  Life is good.

Hi,

After reading about Hong Kong and Canada, decided to kick it into high gear and get the bulk of my preps purchased and in the house.  For a gal who used to consider shopping a recreational sport, I can honestly say I'm bushed!  If I never have to go to Wallyworld or Sam's again I'll be a happy camper.

That being said, I bought / carried / stocked till I dropped.  It's all in, it's in bins, on shelves (yes I bought those this morning too and put them together)  and I'm  90% done.  Now all I need are the last minute perishables.  So TOMORROW I'm planning on being a lady of leisure after Church.

To everyone - take care and have a great weekend.

K.

I got together "flu boxes" for loved ones.  Box is to be kept in a bedroom closet so if you are the only one you can count on if ill, it's all in there.

Any type of severe flu would do.

Did a lot of flower planting.  Bought all kinds of interesting books at the library for 10 cents and the others were free.  Dairy Goats, How to judge your Personality by the Dog you own, Millie's Book, Ken & Em, Nancy Reagan, Flight of Eagles...etc.

Having fun in general.  Very humid here today.

A little stress lately. The one time I had to go out of town my wife had a pain in her side that she didn't feel was that important. The next day I told her to see the doctor and in short it was a race back from Los Angeles to meet her in the hospital.

She is doing well now but we have some future surgery decisions if the antibiodics get everything under control for now. I just wish I wasn't out of town at that time. You just never know when something can happen.

Froze my butt off in the coldest winter for 43 years. Folks in isolated parts  of our South Island have been told they won't get power back for up to 3 weeks after heavy snow storms.
Now I bet those folks have preps and plenty of firewood. Trouble is in our usually semi mild climate the animals aren't housed in winter so there can be some horrendous casualties amongst  sheep. Too early for lambing thank god.

Albert thanks for all your hard work. I wish people knew enough not to start   back and forth with trolls!

I had a great morning, went to breakfast with my son. worked on the yard and garden. Planted lettuce, Argula, artichokes, and basil, worked on the plot for cucumbers. vacuum packed more dry goods, did some light shopping and then went to work.

A Bible verse that is just perfect...... for the situation.

We made pizza and worked on ordering shelving units from Home Depot. I am going to buy the 44 dollar units that are steel units. I figured out it would cost us about 100 dollars to have it brought, delivered and I would set it up.

We also found more board games to play as we looked at some rummage sales yesterday.

All in all, not a bad day

Had a great day, thanx Albert!  We rescued 2 more old pugs--mama is 11 and her daughter is 9.  They are adorable and we are going to keep them, as they need alot of care.  We decided the motto for our pug rescue should be:  We not only rescue pugs, but we end up keeping them all too!

It was a beautiful day, so we went for a walk near the water, the kids love to throw stones in etc. Just relaxed.

Thank you Albert for this forum, and for all the work you do to keep it going smoothly!

We spent almost 8 hours without power and it was about 88 degrees. Got to use the hand cranked radio again since this was the second Saturday in a row with out power. Grilled out anyway, got to listen to music and the scanner. Wasn't so bad even in the heat due to large shade trees and a breeze and semi-frozen chocolate ice cream.

Albert,
Yeah.....Seven.  She's a fearless gymnast.  They have learner skis now that are strapped together, so it makes it a lot easier.  We've been pulling her behind the boat on an innertube since she was two on the Mighty Missouri River.  I was nervous at first, but sat with a life jacket on on the back of the boat as we pulled her waiting to jump in after her but never had to.   She has been raised on a boat........we spend from 8am - 6pm when weather allows going up and down the river.  Its a good life.  I do suddenly notice a lot of birds now.  I just notice and not let it spoil my fun.

Thanks for starting this thread.............i'ts good to escape from this from time to time, yet stay in touch with some really neat people.

Was a heck of a party...From what I remember...I just want to know why my elbo and toes hurt so much today.Clap

Albert, I should appologize for posting on the trolls threads yesterday, it just really made me mad. I tried to tell myself that the right thing to do would be just to ingnore it, but I had a moment of weakness. Again I'm sorry to you and to the board.

I had somewhat of a low key day.  Went to walmart's for a few preps, and to Pier One to buy a couple of items.  I cooked a nice Father's Day dinner for my husband.

GUESS WHAT!!!
We just found out today that my step son is coming to live with us. We are so excited but also nervous as we havent prepped for him. I will be hunting high and low for a job this week. 16 year old boy can you imagine what that will do to my grocery bill. LOL
His mom moved him to TN about a month ago and its just not working out. So happy to have him coming home but very nervous. This will give us 5 kids here under 18. I think I may lose my mind. Wink
Hope everyone had a wonderful Fathers Day! It rained here all day but I cooked hubby a big breakfast and dinner and we spent the day with the kids.
