I don't know where I fit in....I live in a town of 18,000....about 30 minutes away from a larger city with 300,000.  So I guess I live in a "small town".

I live in MI, in a dying city.  It used to have a huge population but now it's about 150,000.  We are bleeding Delphi and GM jobs, but I love this city.  You can't beat the home prices and my neighbors are awesome.

I came from a dying city in MI.  My city was passed by in the first Big Three recession.  Fisher Body, Olds, etc. closed down and left empty factory husks.

I am now in a coastal suburb.

I would be a second vote for a north east college town....but I'm not sure about the liberal part......How about 1 for a Pittsburgh Steeler fan?
